Spring Mills, WV July 21, 2025 Mark Harrell, President and CEO of CNB Bank, is pleased to announce the hiring of Owen Elliott as a Commercial Banker. In this role, Elliott will work closely with local businesses to provide tailored lending solutions and build strong, lasting relationships—primarily focusing on the Berkeley County market.

Elliott is a graduate of Shepherd University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management with a minor in accounting. He also holds insurance licenses in Property & Casualty as well as Life Insurance, adding to his ability to understand and meet the diverse needs of his clients.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Elliott recently made headlines by winning the 106th West Virginia Amateur Golf Championship, held at The Greenbrier’s historic Old White course. He finished the tournament at 7-under par, securing the title with a six-stroke lead. The tournament concluded on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Elliott is the first native of the Eastern Panhandle to earn this prestigious title.

Elliott is actively involved in the Eastern Panhandle community. He serves as an assistant varsity basketball coach at Washington High School, is a member of the BNI Eastern Panhandle Prosperity Partners, and participates in both the Berkeley and Jefferson County Chambers of Commerce and Young Professionals groups.
