Martinsburg, WV – October 22, 2025 Mark Harrell, President and CEO of CNB Bank, is pleased to welcome Steven Shaffer back to the CNB Bank team. Shaffer has been named Vice President / Cash Management Officer and brings more than 24 years of experience in the banking industry to his role.

Shaffer previously worked for CNB Bank and returns with a strong reputation for client service, leadership, and expertise in treasury management and electronic banking solutions. In his new role, he will work closely with business clients to provide customized cash management services that support their operational needs and financial goals.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Steven back to CNB,” said Harrell. “He brings an incredible amount of experience in customer satisfaction in addition to his banking background. His knowledge, professionalism, and long-time dedication to our community make him a valuable addition to the team.”

Shaffer studied business management with a specialization in finance at Northern Virginia Community College and is a graduate of the Barret Graduate School of Banking in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a member of PaymentsFirst and the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), where he actively participates in ongoing training to remain current on industry regulations and technology.

He is actively involved in community outreach and regularly attends chamber events throughout Morgan, Berkeley, and Washington Counties. He is also a graduate of Leadership Berkeley (Class of 2012) and Leadership Jefferson (Class of 2020).

Shaffer resides in Inwood, West Virginia, with his wife Nicole and their son Emerson.
