Martinsburg, WV June 30, 2026 | Mark Harrell, President and CEO of CNB Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Hafner to Assistant Vice President / Senior Credit Officer.
Hafner has been a valued member of the CNB Bank team throughout his banking career and currently serves as Credit Officer. In his expanded leadership role as Assistant Vice President / Senior Credit Officer, he will continue working closely with the commercial lending team to support credit quality, manage risk, and provide sound credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management.
Hafner earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from West Virginia University, graduating summa cum laude, before completing a Master of Science in Business Data Analytics from West Virginia University.
He began his career at CNB Bank as a Credit Analyst, serving in that role for more than two years before joining Valley Health as a Financial Analyst. He returned to CNB Bank in 2025 as Credit Officer, bringing with him valuable experience in financial analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Hafner resides in Spring Mills, West Virginia. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing throughout the region and traveling with his wife, Nathalie.
